Isolated Networks & PUP

An isolated or disconnected network means there is no internet connection available for the network. These kinds of networks typically exist on purpose for security reasons. UpdateEXPERT normally updates itself automatically by downloading updated patch database information, and occasionally product updates. This can't be done from an isolated network.

PUP (packaged updates program) is a utility that allows UpdateEXPERT6.x database and product updates to be migrated into a disconnected network and applied to the resident UpdateEXPERT Master-Agent.

Lastly, patches have to be migrated into the isolated network since they can't be downloaded from the isolated network.
