In summary, logging capabilities for UpdateEXPERT Premium 7.x include:
UpdateEXPERT logging (enabled by default, and configurable ... see below)
Microsoft Updates logging (enabled by default)
UEActor logging (recommended if needed by technical support)
Installation logging (recommended if needed by technical support)
When UpdateEXPERT Premium is installed, logging is enabled by default according to the configured events in:
File > Agent > Settings > Logging Tab.
The logfile is named:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\UpdateEXPERT\ActorUserLog.txt
See "Post-Installation Tasks" and find "Logging:" (with the colon) for more information and recommended settings.
Note that time stamps in the log are GMT, not local time, so in San Diego for example, a logged event at noon (12) will be reported as occurring at 7 (19) or 8 (20) at night, depending on daylight savings.
Also, check the Windows application log for UEAgent start/stop events or errors.
