'Error reading before end of file'

The message "Error reading before end of file" on downloading updates (orange disk icon) indicates you need to increase the Timeout (default is 20 seconds ... see below) in the "File | Agent | Settings | Internet tab" shown below.

Try setting it to its maximum of 120 seconds and retry the download.

If this fails, stop and restart the UEAgent Service.
